If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know I absolutely love fabric, fashion, and creative design.If you haven't, welcome. Subscribe, because it's lit over here.In any case, a lot of us work a 9-5, right? We power through work, and then get home to what we really want to do.For some that's Netflix...for others it's our spouse and kids, cooking, or being a super boss on our own entrepreneurial gig.But for me? The answer is a little different.My absolute favorite pastime right now?....Shopping for fabric in DTLA.Fashion design and execution requires several different steps, and every designer goes about them a little differently.My favorite parts of the process are looking, bargaining, feeling, choosing, and purchasing the fabric for my designs....basically everything!There are so many fabrics to choose from, and so many options for creative design.I love shopping, and this ties into my enjoyment of this part of the process.If you've never been in a fabric store, it can be overwhelming if you don't know what you want. This is why for me, it's important to make a list, bring my sketches, and stick to my fabrics!Using my creative juices is one of my favorite things to do.
