Traveling in Style: PFW OOTD 3-- For the Culture
You want to know one of my favorite things about Paris? The cultural climate. While not every experience was the same, there was a general feeling of respect for hard work, good food, and taking time to stop and experience life. One of the most noticeable differences as an American was how seriously they take mealtime. When you sit down at a restaurant, you will be greeted with "bonjour," and while your food may take a while to arrive (most often because it was being made fresh!), when it came, you were welcome to stay and eat, converse, and enjoy yourself for as long as you felt appropriate. There were times when I didn't know what to do with myself because here in the States we are so accustomed with rushing to the next thing, the next moment, the next level.Take some time this week to just experience life. You'll notice a lot more of the little things...which often, are the more important things. On a fashionable note, casual is my happy place. I like heels, cute outfits and the like, but I'll take a comfortable pair of flats over some stilettos on almost any day! That's why this was probably one of my favorite looks..not to mention a good pair of pants can go a long way. What's your fashion happy place? Let's talk about it!Have a fantastic Sunday, friends.-AB
