ASC BEAUTY: My NYBEE New York Royal Edge Review
Happy Friday lovely people! How many of you like to have your edges snatched? While I don't like to use extra product on my hair every day, I am more than happy to "splurge" with a good edge control on the weekends when I'm doing more than just going to work. This past week I had the privilege of trying out a new beauty product! This particular product was gifted to me by NYBEE New York, and is specifically for keeping your edges laid! I tried it out for you all for two days straight (the first day letting it air-dry, and the second using a scarf to lay it flat until dried), and here are my thoughts....
PROS:
HOLD: One of the things I struggle with is keeping my edges laid for more than just a few hours. And God forbid there should be rain or sweat, because the hairs start doing their own thing. This edge control kept my edges laid down despite the moisture. This product also lists that it is waterproof, which I would assume is part of the secret to keeping my hairs laid.SMELL: It doesn't have a chemical-like smell...it actually smells good.NO PARABENS OR SULFATES: Always a plus for any beauty product!HAIR GROWTH: This product has been said to grow your edges back due to the vitamins and oils it contains. I have not been using it long enough to tell you all about the pros and cons of that, but stay tuned!
CONS:
TEXTURE: The product lists that it is not sticky...well that is partly true. When applying and touching the product it does have a sticky feel to it; however, if you touch your face or fingers to any other area it does not stick. So technically the product does feel sticky, but only when you are touching it.APPEARANCE: The product lists that it leaves no residue behind after application, and that is partly true. Upon application, it did appear slightly white on my 4c hair, so just know that even though it will lay your edges quickly, you must allow it to dry before you no longer see evidence of the product. Once it dried, I did not experience the white color anymore.Other than that, I really enjoyed using this product, and it's the first time I have found a gel that holds my hair even at the gym!Want to see more about this product and other's results?
