#ASCTakesChicago

This past weekend I embarked on an adventure through the historically rich city of Chicago, Illinois. In three days I visited two museums, one aquarium, saw four famous landmarks, and got lost several times! Deep dish pizza, Checkers fries, vegan food, and the obligatory visit to Cracker Barrel were all on my foodie hit-list, and had it not been for the approx 4+ miles a day I walked, my wedding day goals would have been crushed! Despite predictions of fantastic weather, it rained roughly the entire weekend (except of course on Sunday, when it was time for me to leave)! However, as soon as I saw that Chicago skyline, I said "now Nayshi....rain or shine....this trip will be AWESOMENESS!"And that's exactly what it was. Strolling through downtown with my selfie stick in one hand, and map in the other, I absorbed every moment with an immense contentment for life. Halfway into Day 2 of my exploration I was in love. Between the towering skyscrapers downtown, to the brownstone buildings in the south, the city boasts so much character. Hosted by a lovely family member, I got the chance to experience the best of the South, North, and West sides, all in one weekend. This trip really boosted my already passionate love for travel, and I can't wait for the next adventure! Stay tuned for more on my new favorite Chicago eateries, attractions, and how to get the most out of your trip to ChiTown.Bon Voyage!-AB
