KEEP YOUR HEAD TO THE SKY
Happy Tuesday, lovelies!Last week we talked about staying grounded. But staying grounded doesn't mean you can't spend time learning how to stretch your wings and fly. Last week in my design workspace while looking through my fabric stash, I re-discovered a beautiful teal weighted jersey knit, perfect for this not too cold, but not too hot Cali weather. In keeping with my personal style mantras of cute, comfortable and classy, in those next two hours I created this off-the-shoulder garment I can't seem to stop wearing!Showcasing a little shoulder action with an assymetrical sleeve, I paired it with my favorite ALANAYA handbag and some Forever 21 wedges, and the outfit was complete! It was sooo comfortable!Do you ever feel uncomfortable in your creative space? Perhaps due to lack of resources, motivation, or even negative surroundings? Regardless of the source, never let the noise of the world slow your passion for things you love. It will, however, always be there in some shape or form...so rise above it. Use it as a source of motivation and even strength. Stay focused on your dreams and don't let failures or mishaps deter you. Nelson Mandela said, "The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear." It's ok to have moments of fear and discouragement. But true success is climbing through the rubble of those situations to rise above them.So this week, focus on positive reinforcement. Stay true to your talents, goals, and creativity. And always keep your head to the sky. Happy week!-AB
